BEHIND THE DETAILS
This piece was inspired by the bright bougainvillea’s by the sandy beach. The golden rutile needle inclusions resembling the sand.
Iron causes the gold in rutile quartz. These golden strands are the inclusions in quartz c rystals. In diamonds, the less inclusions it has, the higher the value of the stone. But in this case, these inclusions add to the beauty and uniqueness of the gem, making it a collector’s mineral.
